Leaves of Math is devoted to interesting bits of math; problems and their solutions; math culture, history, and philosophy; book recommendations; and the like.
Dr. Nichtgegeben is the pseudonym of a real, live tenured professor of mathematics at a fine midwestern university. He is interested in all areas of mathematics with an emphasis in classical analysis, modern algebra, and number theory. Dr. N runs this blog for the love of his subject and to make a little extra cash. Most days it’s a 60/40 thing.
If you need tutoring in any area of mathematics or if you need to see full solutions to specific problems worked out quickly and accurately, consider my problem solving/tutoring services. Prices are reasonable and reasonably negotiable.

Your site helped a lot in my understanding of mathematics. In fact, your site inspired me and made me work harder. Having been using your site since last year, I just want to thank you, in my human humbleness, and express my gratitude to the beautiful and wonderful ways you bring calculus to live. You were in fact my professor for a whole year, though i wish you were my real prof.

The first thing I want to say is, this site is awesome. I was just searching for an easier way to parameterize a circle and found this site. This is one of the hidden gems in the WWW. The way you did the parameterization is different and nicer, but kinda long. Anyways, Mathematics works. Good luck and keep up with running this site.
